India: Godawari receives environmental clearance for 2 mnt steel plant in Chhattisgarh

Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd (GPIL) has secured environmental clearance from the MoEFCC to set up a 2 mnt/year integrated steel plant at Sarora, Tilda in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, in two phases of 1 mnt each. Currently, GPIL operates a DRI facility of 0.60 mnt, billet facility with capacity of 0.525 mnt, iron ore mining of 3.05 mnt, and pellet capacity of 2.70 mnt per annum.
