India: Domestic coal prices remain largely stable despite selective supply constraints

Domestic coal prices remained largely stable w-o-w on 29 May, with BigMint assessing 5,000 GCV coal at around INR 5,500/t, while 4,500 GCV material declined by INR 50/t w-o-w to nearly INR 4,050/t. Frequent CIL auctions and comfortable supply availability continued to limit demand for imported coal. Meanwhile, washed coal offers, ex-plant Bilaspur, were heard at around INR 5,000-5,700/t, with some participants highlighting limited spot availability.
