India: Crude coal tar prices surge in SAIL-Rourkela's latest auction
SAIL Rourkela Steel Plant auctioned 10,000 tonnes (t) of crude coal tar on 1 Jan'26, in which the entire quantity was sold at a weighted average price of INR 37,549/t ex-works, marking a rise of around INR 5,434/t from the previous auction on 27 Nov'25. Additionally, as per market sources, no auction was conducted in Dec'25 due to the unavailability of stock.
