India: Coal tar price surges in RINL's latest auction
RINL Vizag Steel Plant auctioned 1,050 tonnes (t) of crude coal tar on 10 Dec'25 at a base price of INR 32,500/t. The entire volume was sold at a weighted average price of INR 33,850/t ex-works, marking an increase of INR 1,350/t from the previous auction on 22 Oct'25. The price rise was driven by limited material availability, prompting buyers to bid aggressively. No auctions were conducted in Nov'25.
