India: Base prices rise 13% m-o-m for OMC's upcoming chrome ore auction
Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) will conduct a chrome ore auction of 114,600t on 19 Feb'26, marking a 6,200t increase m-o-m. Base prices climbed, with grades above 40% up by 13% (INR2,598 - 3,340/t) m-o-m and below 40% grade rising by 10% (INR997/t). The rise is likely due to a surge in ferro chrome prices of INR14,500/t ($158/t) m-o-m in February amid tight spot material availability.
