Global stainless steel meltshop production rises 3% y-o-y in CY'25

Global stainless steel meltshop production rose by 3% y-o-y to 64.33 mnt in CY'25, according to the World Stainless Association. China remained the leading producer at 41.05 mnt, a 5% increase y-o-y, while Europe's volumes, stood at 5.9 mnt dropped by 2% y-o-y. The US recorded a 8% y-o-y increase at 2.09 mnt. Asia (excluding China and South Korea) saw a 28% increase at 25.04 mnt against the same period last year.
