China: Stainless steel output rises 7% y-o-y in Apr'26 on strong 200-series growth

China's stainless steel production increased 7% y-o-y to 3.8 mnt in Apr'26, supported by higher output across all major series amid improving mill utilisation and stable domestic demand. The 300 series rose 4% y-o-y to 1.89 mnt, while 200 series output jumped 16% to 1.17 mnt, supported by export competitiveness. Meanwhile, 400 series production increased 3% to 0.69 mnt, reflecting stable downstream consumption.
