China: Met coke players eye 2nd round of price hike
Some met coke players in Shanxi initiated their second round of price hike due to continuous losses and recent hike seen in coking coal prices. Prices of wet quenched met coke are expected to rise by RMB 50/t ($7) and of the dry quenched variant by RMB 55/t, effective from 24 Sep'24. Coke prices in Hebei's Tangshan stood at RMB 1,610/t ($228/t).
