China: Iron ore spot prices rise $2/t d-o-d on output curbs
Iron ore fines (Fe 61%) spot prices surged by $2.0/dmt to $108.5/dmt CFR China on 26 Mar d-o-d. Prices edged higher, largely supported by stronger steel production and market chatter around possible output curbs by miner, while the impact of earlier weather disruptions faded. However, trading activity remained largely muted. Demand improved as daily crude steel output at key mills increased, as per CISA.
