China: Iron ore spot prices edge up by $1/t d-o-d
Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices increased by $0.9/dmt to $107.1/dmt CFR China on 17 Dec'25. Pockets of restocking activity was recorded for February delivery cargoes, which helped support near-term fundamentals. Mid-grade fines remained in focus for buyers, while demand for lumps continued to ease. Some mills also showed a preference for fixed loading laycans to better plan blast furnace sintering requirements.
