China: Iron ore spot prices edge down d-o-d
Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices eased by $0.25/t to $105.5/dmt CFR China on 9 Dec. Trading interest improved, with new deals mainly centred on medium-grade fines amid persistently muted sentiment. Chinese portside prices moved largely rangebound d-o-d, with Shandong outperforming Tangshan due to stronger liquidity. Buyers further leaned toward non-mainstream brands, continuing to prioritise more cost-effective sourcing options.
