China: Iron ore spot prices edge down amid nearing holidays
Iron ore fines (Fe 61%) spot prices dropped by $0.25/dmt to $96.5/dmt d-o-d CFR China on 16 Feb'26, as procurement activity in the physical market remained muted ahead of the Lunar New Year holidays, with most mills away from active trading. Meanwhile, prices in Chinese portside markets stayed largely stable, supported by limited transactions.
