China: Coal, lignite imports rise slightly y-o-y in Jan-Feb'26

China's coal and lignite imports increased marginally by 1.5% y-o-y to 77.2 mnt during Jan-Feb'26 compared with 76.1 mnt in the same period last year, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of China. However, imports fell sharply by 33% m-o-m in Feb'26 to 30.94 mnt, mainly due to seasonal demand moderation following strong procurement in Jan'26 and amid the Lunar New Year holiday period.
