China: Coal and coke production maintain upward trend in early 2025
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China's coke output in Jan-Feb'25 reached 81.9 mnt (million tonnes), reflecting a 1.6% y-o-y increase. Meanwhile, industrial raw coal production above designated size rose by 7.7% y-o-y to 770 mnt, with a 3.5 percentage points faster growth rate than Dec'24. The average daily raw coal output stood at 12.97 mnt.
