Bhutan: Sustainable ferro silicon capacity to grow with Carbon Resources' new plant

Carbon Resources' ferro silicon project is steadily taking shape at Norbugang, Bhutan and will feature four 51 MVA furnaces with a combined annual capacity of 150,000 t, positioning it as South Asia's largest ferro silicon facility. Backed by hydropower and a 26 MW waste heat recovery unit, the plant emphasises sustainability and energy efficiency, aiming to become one of the worlds greenest ferro silicon facilities.
