Baltic Dry Index extends rally to 9th straight day, hits highest level since early Dec'25
The Baltic Dry Index climbed for the ninth consecutive session, rising 5.5% (130 points) d-o-d to 2,484 on 15 Apr'26 supported by improving cargo volumes, tighter vessel availability across key basins, and relatively softer bunker prices aiding chartering sentiment.
- Capesize: BCI rose 8% (294 points) to 3,964.
- Panamax: BPI increased 2.5% (47 points) to 1,948.
- Supramax: BSI increased 2% (27 points) to 1,371.
