India: Structure Offers Moving Upward on Improve demand

Indian structure offers showed positive trends in a week’s duration in line with the good demand and rise in billet prices.

Demand is major cities picked for light structures, according to the market participants.

Notably, the prices for light structures surge by INR 300-800/MT (USD 4-12 ) due to increased demand from end user segment. While, owing to seasonal slow big project works heavy structure prices increase marginally by INR 200/MT despite surge in billet offers by INR 500-1,000/MT (USD 7-15) W-o-W.

As per the small mill owners in Central & Western India “The rise in offers is being easily accepted by the stockiest end.”

Gauge Parity Revised:

In Central Region, Raipur based re-rollers increase the gauge parity for the light structural steel i.e. Angles for sizes 25, 35 and 40 by INR 100-300/MT.

However, in East India, Durgapur based manufacturers reduced parity by INR 500/MT for Angles sizes of 90, 100, 110, 130 & 150.
