BHEL Invites Tender for Purchase of Re-bars for its Bangladesh Project

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is an integrated power plant equipment manufacturer and one of the largest engineering and manufacturing company in India has floated the tender for purchase of 27,896 MT Re-bars for its 2X660 MW coal based power plant at Bagerhat, Bangladesh.
Only Indian and Bangladesh Bidders are allowed to participate in this tender.
Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company (BIFPC) which is a 50:50 joint venture floated by Bangladesh Power development Board and NTPC India had signed contract with BHEL for engineering procurement and construction contract for its 1,320 MW Maitree Super Thermal Power Project at Bagerhat district of Bangladesh on 12th July’16 at Bangladesh.
The contract value of this project is USD 1.49 billion and the project is expected to start generation during 2019-20.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Bidder should have average minimum annual financial turnover of USD 6.11 million or equivalent amount during the last three years, ending on 31-03-2018 or corresponding financial year followed by the bidder and should submit their audited balance sheet and profit & loss account for last three financial years, in support of the same.
2. The bidder should have previous experience of supplying 16,738 MT of reinforcement steel to govt / psu/ reputed organisations in last three years as on last date of bid submission.
3. The bidder should have valid license for manufacturing of reinforcement steel bar in Bangladesh or in India.
