Japan's Kanto scrap export tender for May'24 sees $10/t rise in bids
Today, Japan's Kanto region concluded its scrap export tender for May, witnessing a rise in bids. The average bid price increased by JPY 1,503/t ($10/t), reaching JPY 52,590/t ($338/t) FAS compared to Apr'24 (JPY 51,087/t). A volume of 20,000 tonnes of H2 scrap was captured in the tender and intended for booking by a Southeast Asian country, possibly Vietnam.
