India: Ramco Cements to benefit from Tamil Nadu limestone tax cessation

Ramco Cements is expected to benefit from the cessation of the Mineral Bearing Land Tax on limestone in Tamil Nadu, effective 22 August 2026. The company previously paid INR 160/t under the levy, amounting to INR 171.78 crore in FY'26 and INR 79.07 crore in FY'27 until the cessation date. The tax removal may lower operating costs, improve profitability and strengthen cash flows.
